The risk in a warehouse move is not breakage, it is losing track of stock. A pallet that arrives without a label is not damaged, but it is effectively missing until someone opens it. So the inventory discipline matters more than the muscle, and the racking has to be standing before the first truck arrives.
How do we move stock without losing it?
The destination bays are numbered before anything leaves the old site, so every pallet has a named home before it is loaded rather than after it arrives. Each pallet gets a label carrying its SKU summary and its destination bay, and it is booked in against that bay on arrival. Moving in tranches by product group rather than by whichever shelf is nearest the door means that if the move pauses, you still know exactly what is where. The closing reconciliation against the opening count is the deliverable that matters to a stock controller, and we produce it as a matter of course.
What about racking safety?
Racking is a structure, not furniture. Beams and uprights must be reinstalled to the manufacturer's configuration, on a floor that can carry the load, with the correct baseplates and anchors. Components that were damaged in the old site — a bent upright, a beam with a deformed connector — should not be re-erected, and we flag them rather than quietly reusing them. Where the new site's floor slab or layout differs, the racking may need a revised configuration and a fresh load notice, which is a conversation to have at the audit stage rather than on installation day.

Frequently asked questions
Can you move us over a weekend?
A small warehouse of a few hundred pallets, yes. Larger sites are phased across a week or more, with the racking at the destination erected in advance so stock can flow straight into its bays rather than being double-handled.
Do you move forklifts and heavy machinery?
Yes, on low-bed trailers with appropriate lashing. Battery-electric forklifts need the battery handled separately, and machinery that is bolted to the floor needs a disconnection scope agreed with your engineers before we lift anything.
Can you handle bonded or customs-controlled goods?
Movements between free zones and the mainland follow customs procedures and need the paperwork lodged before the goods travel. Tell us the zone and the status of the stock at the audit so the declarations are ready and the trucks are not held at a gate.
Do you provide the inventory report?
Yes. An opening count before the move and a closing reconciliation on completion, with any discrepancies listed rather than absorbed. If you run a warehouse management system we work to your location codes instead of inventing our own.
