Privacy notice

What we collect when you ask us for a moving quote, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted.

Who we are

Qasr Al Waha Movers LLC, a moving and logistics company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of the personal data described here.

What we collect

When you submit the quote or contact form we collect the name, phone number and email address you give us, plus what you told us about the move: the service, the property size, where you are moving from and to, your preferred date and any notes you add.

We also record the page you submitted from, the page that referred you, and the language you were browsing in. That tells us which pages actually help people, and nothing more.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for and do not want your passport number, Emirates ID, bank details or payment card details through this website. If a page ever asks you for those, it is not us.

We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to anyone.

Why we hold it

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey, quote the job and carry out the move if you book it. That is a contractual and legitimate-interest basis; you asked us for a price and we cannot give you one without it.

We do not send marketing email unless you separately ask us to.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for 24 months, so that we can answer questions about a past move and handle any claim. Records connected to a completed job are kept longer where UAE tax and commercial law requires it.

Ask us to delete your data and we will, unless we are legally required to keep a specific record.

Protecting the form from abuse

When you submit a form we store a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself, and use it to rate-limit submissions. It exists so that a script cannot flood our inbox, it cannot be turned back into your address, and it is deleted with the rest of the enquiry record.

Who else sees it

Our own staff who arrange and carry out the move. For an international move, the destination agent and the shipping line, because they cannot clear your goods without the consignee details.

We do not share your details with anyone else for their own purposes.

Sending data outside the UAE

An international move cannot happen without sending your name, contact details and inventory to the destination agent, the shipping line and the customs authority in the destination country. That is a cross-border transfer under Articles 22 and 23 of the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.

We send only what the destination actually requires to clear your goods, we send it to the agent handling your specific shipment, and we tell you who that agent is before your goods leave. Where the destination country has no adequacy decision, the transfer is made because it is necessary to perform the contract you asked us for.

No automated decisions

Nothing on this site prices your move, accepts or refuses you automatically. A person reads every enquiry and every quotation is prepared after a survey.

Your rights

Under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask for a copy in a portable format, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw a consent you previously gave. Email us and we will answer within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

If you are in the EU or UK when you contact us, GDPR rights apply in addition to the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and enquiry records are held in an access-controlled system. No system is perfect; if we ever have a breach that affects you, we will tell you.
