A villa move is a two-day job for most four and five-bedroom homes: one day packing, one day moving and reassembling. Crews of six to eight handle garden furniture, outdoor units, heavy items such as pianos and safes, and the community gate pass that most villa developments require before a truck is admitted.
Villas hold more than people expect. The rooms are bigger, there is usually a maid's room, a store, a garden and often a garage full of things that never made it indoors. The volume of a five-bedroom villa is routinely double a three-bedroom apartment, and it is the outdoor half that is most often left out of a phone estimate.
Why do villa moves take two days?
Because packing a villa properly and moving it in the same day means starting before dawn and finishing after the building rules allow. Splitting the work gives the crew a full day to box the kitchen, the wardrobes and the fragile items with care, and a second day to dismantle, load, drive, unload and rebuild. The alternative — a single rushed day — is where breakages happen. For a three-bedroom villa with a modest garden, one long day is often enough; beyond four bedrooms it rarely is.
What about the garden and outdoor units?
Outdoor furniture is the most damaged category in a villa move, because it looks robust and gets treated accordingly. Rattan and teak have usually spent years in UV and are more brittle than they appear; glass table tops crack at the edge when carried flat; barbecues need the gas cylinder removed, which no carrier will transport. Planters are heavy, awkward and often the client's favourite thing in the garden. We dismantle, wrap and crate these as carefully as indoor pieces, and we say clearly at survey if a piece is unlikely to survive the trip.

Frequently asked questions
Do you move pianos and safes?
Yes, with a larger crew and the right equipment. Tell us at survey rather than on the day: an upright piano needs four people and a stair-climbing dolly, and a floor safe may need the door removed or a skate system. Both change the crew size we send.
Will you take apart built-in wardrobes?
Freestanding and modular wardrobes yes. Fitted units built into the structure usually belong to the landlord and stay, but check your tenancy contract — if you installed them, we can take them down and rebuild them at the new address.
How many movers come for a villa?
Typically six to eight for a four or five-bedroom villa, with a supervisor who stays across both days. Smaller villas take four to six. The number is set at survey from the volume and the access, not from the bedroom count alone.
Do villa communities need a permit?
Most gated communities require a gate pass and many cap the truck size allowed inside. Some also restrict moving hours and prohibit weekend moves entirely. We check your community's rules at survey and obtain the pass as part of the job.
